Florida 2019 : Universal Day 2

Team Black went to Universal Studios again on the second Tuesday, this time to the other park. It was just us. We thought about buying Fast Passes as we thought it would be quite busy, but after doing minimal queueing for a couple of rides opted just to wait in line. In the end the most we waited was about 20 minutes for a very popular Minions ride.

There were a lot of 3D simulator rides, but we got through them all pretty quickly. Michael opted out of The Mummy ride, so Sarah took on Emma who was a little upset by it. I went on later and walked straight on to the ride. Although the kids weren't overly familiar with many of the franchises attached to the rides, they still enjoyed them all. You don't really need to have seen Transformers or any of the Fast and Furious films to miss out on anything on the rides.

The Harry Potter stuff was great. The third Harry Potter ride was pretty good. We'd already seen most of it, but we spent a little more time in the shops. We rode the Hogwarts Express going the other way and picked up some sweets from Hogsmeade. It was not cheap. It was not cheap at all!

Again, we only got 5-10 minutes of rain, so Sarah's ponchos came in handy.

I can't remember if we saw Jackie this day. Jackie was the guide when Sarah and the kids went onto the Jungle Cruise at Disney, but was (according to Sarah) also working at Universal when we first rode the Hogwarts Express.
