| My ludicrously high score on Buzz Lightyear |
Our trip to Disney's Magic Kingdom was the big day. Everyone was there and Alyson had sorted out some matching Tshirts for us. Together with Maggie and Sarah they had spent a lot of time ironing on transfers to red Tshirts. It was a great idea and helped identify us to the kids, even if Emma at one point did go missing for a couple of minutes as she followed another herd of adults in red tshirts by mistake.
The weather in April in Florida was a bit hotter than was comfortable, but thankfully not by too much. That makes it almost ideal weather in my book for theme parks. They weren't too busy, and having the ability to book multiple fast passes to rides was really helpful. We never queued for more than 10 or 15 minutes for a ride. Emma had a little bit of a meltdown when we sacrificed our fastpass for Pirates of the Caribbean as it was only a 15 minute wait and we could book something else, but other than that everything went well. Emma was able to control her urge to shop as well, much to everyone's relief.
Sarah had had the bright idea of bring some cheap ponchos for rain or water rides, and they worked reasonably well at keeping us dry on splash mountain.
