Day Trip to Boston

The consequences of too much slurpie.

Neil, Michael and Dad - just downwind from the tobacconist - stinking!

On the last full holiday day, we had a day trip to Boston. Grandma and Granddad were good enough to look after Emma, and we went with Neil and Maggie to see Boston. We took a train into Boston, which truth be told I think Michael would have been satisfied with. He was really excited by it. He told the ticket guy that he'd played on the golf courses we could see with his granddad black. the ticket guy was pretty sceptical, and told us that you need to know someone to play at those courses. I guess you can't just sneak on after the starter leaves....or in the middle of the day if it's quiet.

Once in Boston we headed to the chinese part of it to eat some dim sum. it was really tasty. Michael was convinced to try things by us reminding him that it was just like the food in kung fu panda. Maggie said that Michael's chopstick technique was really good. Although he liked the food, he did get a hot dog about 20 minutes later.

We went on a bus tour. It was really interesting to see lots of places in Boston, not least this place, which had us almost in tears laughing (only funny if you're from the UK). It was really hot, so it was nice to get near the window seats of the tour bus. We saw lots of sights, and got on a boat to tour the harbour. Michael was also very excited by that, and kept wanting to go to the top deck.
