Jamie and I instruct Michael in the ways of Science
Michael is amazed that he's actually allowed to touch something for a change
The thing about london, is that every time you turn a corner you're likely to see a grandiose piece of architecture - in this example the Royal Albert Hall
Roz, Jamie and Michael. The journey back was too much for the wee fella, and he crashed out. Luckily Jamie and Roz had a Michael-sized sleep solution - a mini beanbag
somewhere over the thames with important and no doubt historically important buildings in the background

We went back down to Bracknell at the weekend. It was nice to have Kirsten with us on the downward journey, as she was able to keep Michael a little more entertained in the back. He seems quite fond of drawing with crayons in the back.
We went into London once we got there to visit Jamie and Roz. As usual, it took us a lot longer than I thought it would to get everything ready and get going in the morning, but we eventually got in to Waterloo. I was pretty anxious being there with all those people and Michael being knee-high and all, but he was reasonably well behaved, as were the londoners.
He seemed to really enjoy the Science Museum. He definately enjoyed the picnic/feast that Jamie and Roz had created (Lego Chocolate! Salmon, Fig and cheese sandwiches!). He was not shy in touching things and exhibits. He seemed to particularly like the magnets at the Launchpad interactive bit, and the bubble show (for which he amazingly sat quietly and didn't move and inch).
If you haven't been to the National Science Museum in London then you won't understand that there wasn't nearly enough time in an afternoon to cover the whole thing, but we got michael a strobe ball so that he can remember being there (not that he will).
We'd been training him on the way to say Jamie and Roz, and he seemed to manage it. He was quite comfortable for a while waking up after Sarah and I had gone off to get something for our next door neighbours who'd had to sort out our house alarm when it went off at 6 am.
