the good news in that michael is pretty much sleeping through the night now. He's not sleeping in the nice cot that we got him, but instead in the kingsize bed in our guest room. if only we'd known that this time last year (although we were in a two bedroom flat at that time with no spare kingsize beds).

he's been sick the last couple of days. he's been really hot and sweaty. he's been sleeping a lot too, but not too much at the right times, which is a pity, given that he'd just started to get settled. the girl next door who's just a couple of days older than him has chicken pox, and we're hoping that he's not coming down with it, but i suppose he has to get it sometime.

as you can see from the video, he really likes playing hide and seek. he hasn't quite got the hang of it yet, as he keeps hiding in the same place that i just hid, even before i get out of it.

he's starting to talk a lot more. he's still doing his trick of taking you by the hand to something and pointing to it.here's a splattering of his vocal repertoire -
