It was Sarah and I's 5th wedding Anniversary last weekend, and to celebrate, we escorted a whole load of kids on a church trip to the temple in Chorley. Not quite the romantic occassion we had expected (we went out later in the week), but we did make the brave step of leaving Michael overnight with my parents in Glenrothes. It's the first time that we've left him with someone else overnight. Sarah was amazingly relaxed about the whole thing, and I mananged to only call my parents about 4 times to make sure everything was ok. Michael was apparently an angel, and only stayed up until 10 and woke up about 4. I think my family really enjoyed having him to themselves for a while. It was also nice of Michael to wait up for us when we got back at about 10.30pm.
Michael's been doing a lot of new things recently. He's starting to talk much more, but we still don't understand most of the words he's using. He's getting much better at climbing over things, which is a bit of a concern.
I'd like to say that we'd given him his own play room, but in actual fact we've just chucked all of his toys into the dining room so we can close the doors and not think about the mess.
