michael and sarah have been enjoying themselves in edinburgh. sarah's been taking him out for lots of walks and to meet lots of people.

there's been a lot of lazing about the flat too, which they both seem to enjoy.

it was my uncle billy's 60th birthday at the weekend, so we went through to fife to the surprise party at my cousin hazel's house in glenrothes. it was great to see lots of people, and michael generally behaved himself. he did get a little carried away though when my dad offered him a bit of nectarine. he wolfed his way through it, and cried when the original slice was done. i went off and got another couple of slices for him, and my dad made sure michael worked his was through the whole nectarine.

there's been quite a bit of walking around edinburgh as well. we went for a dander along the crags (beside arthur's seat - a hill in the middle of edinburgh). michael seems to really enjoy getting out and about. i took him to the dvd shop the other day in the papoose thing when it was raining lightly, and he seemed to love the sensation of the cold drizzle on his face. it's good that he likes that, as living where he's living he's going to get a lot more of it.

as well as having took michael to the cinema, sarah has also taken michael to the dynamic earth exhibition (here's a quick picture of that and the scottish parliament taken from the crags). sarah said he was particularly taken in by the fake iceberg that they have there).
