as you may have noticed, we've unfortunately been updating this less frequently. that's mostly because we're really tired. i'm back at work after my second stint of paternity leave, and sarah's been doing well being back on her own.
this is my aunty clair and uncle lee with michael last weekend. they were really good with him, and he seemed to be on his best behaviour when they were around. as usual though, he was a bit of a terror when they left.
michaels starting to do a lot of things which are pretty exciting. he's starting to pull his head up, and do little baby push-ups. he's starting to smile, but has a way to go yet. he's showing much more signs of interaction with people and things - he's started to push things dangling over him, especially things that make a rattle.
sarah and i still aren't 100% convinced by the old skool nappies we're trying out. they are reuseable, so need to be washed. we thought it'd be good for a couple of reasons that pale to insignificance when you see a nappy that puts you off peanut butter for life, then realise that you need to put it into the washing machine!
michael continues to be a source of joy and wonder in our lives. it's been much more fun than we both imagined, but it's also been a lot more demanding!

Michael is so cute, and we love his hair!
We use cloth nappies with Emma now and they are great, but I think they would have driven us mad when she was a wee newborn. If you want to stick it out, I really recommend fleece liners or a fleece-lined nappy - it makes a huge difference come clean-up time... We stick with the paper kind for bed time and going out, which also makes life easier.
