The second leg of the road trip was fun. We rested pretty well in the hotel, and as you can see Emma and Michael enjoyed the pool.
We headed to Monterey Bay Aquarium. It was fantastic! It was great to see all the animals. Michael particularly enjoyed the refills on the Root Beer. Emma was fascinated by the Sea Otters. She bought a toy one. The both enjoyed getting to touch various sea creatures.
The drive up to San Francisco was also picturesque. We continued to listed to Percy Jackson and the Greek Heroes, which was a great level for all of us. We had an issue that the phone doing the sat nav kept overheating as it was in the direct sunlight and not getting any of the air conditioning, so we had to keep swapping phones.
On the way up, we stopped at Santa Cruz for a burger at a place called Betty's Burgers. We had just looked it up on Trip Advisor. Good burgers!
