we've all been sick in the black household over the past week, which has been thoroughly unpleasant. it started with michael and sarah getting a tummy bug (michael was sick on 3 seperate beds) which got passed on to me. I then either took a long time to get over it or came down with something else, but regardless of which, Sarah's now (after feeling well for a week) feeling pretty bad and tired. Michael has sounded like he's got a sore throat. His voice is quite raspy.

Much as we'd like to blame his illness on his recent bout of tantrums, I think it may have as much to do with his age. it's almost comical, as the slightest thing (i.e. not getting a third yoghurt or to stay outside when it's raining) can really set him off, and like always, there's no off switch or timer - he just keeps going until distracted or he forgets what the original issue is. I'm sure his tenacity will be a great thing one day, but at the moment it's mostly a tool for ungood!

He's had a great time over the past few weeks though. we met up with the marrs and the sneddons (no photos as i totally forgot) which was a lot of fun. he seemed to enjoy playing football with charles and alex. he kept trying to give georgia marr (19 months) a cuddle, but i think she was more scared as he looked more like he was going for a chokehold. The bleakley's were also up (again no photos as i forgot) and both Joseph and Michael claimed to be cuddling jessica (almost 4) but to a bystander it would have looked like they were both lying on her face stopping her breathing.

He got a chance over easter to roll his eggs at the hill at the top of our estate in tullibody. I don't think he really appreciated either the pagan or the christian parts of this tradition, as he just threw his egg to the bottom of the hill. He's getting quite good at throwing. He managed to get me off the face with a toy fish when he was in the bath on wednesday.
