....and after. Can you spot the difference?

we went with the freeds and the burdon's to the blair drummond safari park. for us it was really good to go somewhere with other families who have young kids (although strangely they still weren't quite as troublesome as our michael). He seemed to really enjoy seeing the animals, although not as much as eve enjoyed seeing the horses (it was a shock to see a big horse take her hand almost up until her elbow when she was feeding it, but she seemed to enjoy it).

We've invested a lot of time teaching michael how to make the noises of different animals, but to be honest, it's a little scarier to make the roar of a lion when you can actually see the lion, and you're worried it might make a go for you.

Michael wasn't really scared of anything at the park, until he saw his mum go on the flying fox over the pond. He was upset and screaming at that point. This was handy, as it drowned out Sarah's screams as she went over the water.

We saw lots of different animals. Zebras, goats, a bear, penguins, sea lions, lions, tigers, water buffalos, pot bellied pigs, donkeys, horses, wallabies, all kinds of dear, and many more. Michael had a go at feeding the more tame animals in the petting section, but couldn't quite get the hang of opening his hand to let the animal eat the food.

He's been sick for the last couple of days. It's been like sleeping next to a radiator. He seems a little lethargic through the day, but seems to perk up when it's getting near bedtime.

We were up visiting my mum (at clair's in dundee) yesterday, and michael seemed very excited. That seemed mostly related though to the opportunity to play guitar hero. My dad had warned me, but we were still a little surprised to hear him singing Manfred Mann's "Doo Wah Diddy Diddy Dum Diddy Doo" in the back of the car. Apparently he'd been playing that in his grandad's car earlier.

Michael had a good time a couple of weeks ago when Sarah and I went down to the temple, and his granma came to stay with him. We were very excited to get home and see him (I didn't get to properly see him until Monday, as I had a lot of church things to do on Sunday, which was very difficult). I was excited to get back though and have some of the cakes that he'd made with granma. They were delicious!
