This is your child

.......and this is your child on chocolate!

we had a really nice weekend up in aberdeen, where we surprised michael's grandma (sarah's mum) by having the whole family descend on her house for the weekend. Michael seemed to really enjoy being up there with all of his uncles and aunties on that side. He even mostly
behaved himself, only getting into the ash-filled fireplace a couple of times, not re-organising the dvds and generally not molesting the dog!

Referring to the chocolate incident, michael managed to get his hand on a chocolate sweetie with a wrapper, and we both thought it'd be ok, but he managed to melt the chocolate in his mouth, then suck it out of the wrapper (he's so clever!). Needless to say it took him a long time to get to sleep that night, but strangely he slept quite well. Maybe we should give him more chocolate.

He gave Sarah quite a scare the other day too. Not satisfied with having hidden the car keys in a hidey-hole in his play table (Sarah spent two hours looking for them), he decided to push his mummy a little further. She'd put the rubbish in the bins at the side of the house, leaving him playing in the living room. When she came back inside she couldn't hear him playing, so she shouted his name. Usually he stops what he's doing when you do that and comes to meet you. This time she heard nothing though, so had a quick look around the house but couldn't see him anywhere. She was getting panicky, so thought about where else he could have been. Luckily she started thinking about babies and open doors, quickly checked outside, and saw him using the car parked outside as support to help him walk about. She said that she almost started crying in relief, which I can relate to.

Alan looks like he might be feeling the pressure of not having someone to hold him in this last picture. Bless.
