michael decides

with all the hoopla about the US Presidential Nomination Elections, we've all forgotten where the real exciting decision is. Michael's technically eligible to play for three national football teams. Scotland by his parents, the US Men's Team by virtue of his american grandma, and England because he was born there. Sarah and I have been keen not to influence his decision in any way, as we feel he's big enough to make this decision on his own, and the other day he made the correct....I mean, his own decision, when he donned the Scotland top for the first time. We're very proud of the maturity he's showing in opting to play for the old kent road of international football (although we did beat france......twice!)

Michael enjoying himself at church, looking quite smart

Michael has recently also taken to using our phones to take photos. He's showing some promise, as you can see from the below portrait of his leg and shorts. He even managed to take a video with my phone and almost sent it to someone

Michael had a visitor today, when the next door neighbour Ruby popped by. She's a couple of weeks older than him, and they had fun playing together. She can walk though, and michael looked like he was trying to go for it too, but he still doesn't quite have the confidence to do it. He's getting close, and has taken a couple of steps, but seems to be too fast at crawling to really have any impetus to walk. The observant amongst you will notice that michael has had a haircut (he's the one on the left in the photo). I miss his retro 70s do, but sarah likes his new do. She thinks it makes him look a little more boyish and less babyish, which I can't argue with.

michael enjoys his favourite pastime - emptying cupboards he shouldn't be in
