Alpine

Sorry about the delay in posting something. We've moved house to Tullibody, and don't have any internet connections there yet (might be a couple of weeks yet).

The first day (Sunday) following our grand trek west we went up to Alpine, California. It was about an hour away from Escondido where we were staying, and true to form Michael slept almost all of the way.

We were visiting Sarah's Aunt Sally and Uncle Brian. They have a swimming pool out the back, which was quite cold, but the jacuzzi was lovely, and as you can see, Michael had a good time in it. As you can see, Sarah and I are a little hypersensitive about sunburn, obvious by our own pale complexions. Not content with just the victorian bathing suit, we also went for a french foreign-legion type sun hat. Needless to say that after 10 days in the sun, Michael is not a jot darker in complexion than he was before - same as his parents.

He had a lot of fun exploring the house up there, and liked playing with Sarah's cousin Marianne's children Caden (pictured below with Michael) and Noah. He also liked the 4 dogs that were there.
