michael's blessing

we've travelled back to scotland with michael, for his blessing. it's been great to see all the family, and people that we know from fife.

the journey up was fine, and michael slept most of the way. he's been fine staying in a hotel and at my mum and dad's.

As for the blessing itself, it all went very well. michael was a little gurny just before the blessing, and was crying all the way through, but it was really nice. it was difficult for me to talk, as it was very emotional and spiritual. strangely that was about the only time he cried at church today. maybe the sight of six men in suits holding him would be enough to make most people cry.

after the blessing, we all went back to my mum and dad's, and given that it was a lovely day, had something to eat out in the back garden. robbie, who sarah and i know from bracknell was coincidentally at kirkcaldy ward today. that's even more coincidental when you know he's actually from utah, and is living in brussels at the moment.
