After visiting Los Angeles for the wedding and going up to San Francisco to see David and Shannon for a few days, we went down to visit Brian and Sally for a week in Alpine.
It was a lovely, relaxing week.
As you can see, the kids had a great time hanging around the house, enjoying the pool and barbecue. They went to the beach a couple of times with the Hannovers and even got to have a shot at Boogie Boarding, which they enjoyed.
They definitely enjoyed exploring Brian's fascinating garden and playing with the dogs. The cat didn't really move around much at all.
Unfortunately the car we had in San Diego was definitely a step down from the one we'd had before. We basically had to take whatever saloon car we could fit all of our bags into, which was a real squeeze!
