Michael holding baby Emma (with some supervision)

Michael and Emma are continuing to do well. Emma's growing and not sleeping anymore. Sarah was happy that she managed to get Emma to sleep in her moses basket at 6:45 this morning, and Michael came through a whole 45 minutes later. Hardly seems worth the effort, but we remember the horror that was putting michael to bed for the first two and a half years, so we know it's worth the effort.

I took Michael to get his swine flu jab on Monday night (I know the way to the Doctor's in Alva). I was hoping to reward him for being brave by giving him a kinder egg, but sarah suggested that'd be too much and gave him a little chocolate treat (it was only an hour to bedtime). Michael was a little nervous going in to the doctor, as he'd only been to the one in Tullibody. He was brave going into the office, and sat on my lap facing away from the table with the needle. The nurse got me to hold him in a really tight cuddle, and then jabbed him. He didn't make a sound, but he immediately started crying in a way I've never seen him cry before. He curled up, didn't make a sound but was bawling. He was fine after 30 seconds, and got the chocolate. He was really tired the next day, and when I got home from work he was asleep on Sarah. He's got a little bit of a rash, but otherwise is ok.
