Those who don't already know may find it strange that Sarah's parents live 1o minutes away from my Granny in Aberdeen, and Sarah's granny and grandad live just around the corner from my parents in Glenrothes. Seems almost as if it was planned, but we assure you that was not the case.
Sarah's Auntie Irene and Granny and Grandad came to visit us in Tullibody on Saturday. It was lovely to have them around, and Michael was (generally) on his best behaviour. Alan even popped by too, but just for the food.
Michael took great interest in his great-grandparents walking sticks, and thankfully didn't do anyone any damage (he liked swinging it around and chewing it on the bottom).
Michael's walking a lot more now, and seems now to prefer walking to crawling. Our difficulty now is convincing him that he needs to go in the same direction that we are walking. He's become a lot more of a handful at church on sunday, as he doesn't appreciate sitting still for a long time.
He had his mmr last week, and the health visitor gave him some crayons and a book to draw on. He seems to enjoy that, although not as much as drawing on the sofa, carpet, lino or kitchen door. The crayons have now been confiscated, and he only gets the under strict supervision.
We had a nice time last weekend with my family. They generously came out to Stirling for a meal to celebrate Scott and Dad's birthday, as well as Mother's day. Michael did about 20 laps of the restaurant, but was happy to have so many people to entertain him. He got his mummy some pretty flowers and some nice chocolates for mother's day, as well as cleverly getting his daddy some cheaper chocolates, so mummy didn't feel bad about eating the nice ones. He went through to Edinburgh on the day before mother's day to help his mummy do something nice for her mummy, who was in Edinburgh at the flat for a class she goes to. Very generous of him all round, and I can't wait for father's day.
