names

we're still no closer to a name. we were settled on a girls name, but the sonographer said she was pretty certain it was going to be a boy. we've talked about a lot of boys names since, and can't seem to come to any consensus. sarah still likes old testament names like elijah, noah or enoch. i'm still holding out hope that she'll cave in and let me go for atticus or dylan. not looking likely though. i'm keen to avoid family names, but it's a bit difficult when you're both one of five! it's also difficult with a surname like black, as the baby can end up sounding like a superhero's alterego (Peter Parker, Bruce Banner - Ben Black!). Sarah and I have thought about having some kind of public vote or ebay auction to name the kid.

All going well with the mother and baby so far. four and a bit weeks to go, then the baby gets the choice of being born in ascot if it behaves, (yay!) or slough if it doesn't (boo!).
