Michael's Last Day of Primary School

David and Shannon's wedding was on Saturday 1st July, meaning that it was nearly impossible (and ridiculously expensive and impractical) for Michael to make his last day of school on Friday 30th June.

I was surprised at how big a deal it was for Primary 7s leaving school nowadays. I don't think I even said goodbye to people, but Michael had a Leavers Dance at the local Masonic Lodge (with loads of boys doing Fortnite dances apparently), a Leavers Assembly at school and a tradition that everyone gets their uniforms signed by the other leavers.

Thankfully he was able to get his T Shirt signed by everyone on the Thursday, and wasn't too upset about missing his last day once he got used to the idea.
