The Owl

Emma has been doing some work at school on a story called "The owl who was afraid of the dark".

She drew this great picture of an owl as part of it. I particularly like the way the owl has a bleeding rodent in its talons.

She was able to name the five types of owls when I asked her - little, short-eared, long-eared, tawny and barn.
