Hospital

Michael had to go to the hospital on Tuesday night. He ran onto the tarmac chasing a ball at the end of football training, and because he has studded boots he skidded. He bashed his head, breaking the rim of his glasses, which in turn cut him above the eye.
They patched him up as best they could at the football, then Sarah and Grandma (who was down for Emma's birthday) took him to the minor injuries unit in Stirling.
They got there around 8.30, but even though the minor injuries unit was still open for 30 minutes, they said they were too busy and bumped them to Forth Valley hospital in Larbert, where they had to sit around for almost 4 hours before getting seen. They quickly applied some glue, which will hopefully let it heal with less of a scar.
Michael's been great about it. Lots of people have been asking him about it. He was a little discombobulated at the time, but not for long. We gave him the day off school the next day, as he didn't get home until about 1.45 am.
