Sarah and the kids took advantage of the school holidays, and a railcard (two actually - long story), and went down to London to spend a few days with Uncle Jamie and Auntie Roz. They had a great time, although Michael wasn't too fond of the water, but they both loved playing with Pinky (Jamie and Roz's cat).
They got to visit lots of the sights. They went to both the Science and the Natural History museum and had a great time there.
They visited Legoland out in Windsor and met up with Lou and Oli and their kids, who we know from my time at 3M. It was unthinkable for me that they were in their swimming stuff in Legoland as it was totally freezing up here.
They were very excited to get to go to one of the Proms, which was especially for children. They played ten classical pieces, together with some dramatic parts, lights, dancing and narration. Emma has since watched the accompanying film and the performance on the iPlayer several dozen times.
