This is how bedtime would always be in an ideal world. Three adults (inc me) to two children.
Emily, Sarah's old companion from Ireland, came over to stay with us for a couple of days a couple of weeks ago. It's fair to say that Michael was smitten. It was really funny, as I've never seen him like that before. He was trying to be cool and suggesting that Emily sleep over in his room so she wasn't on her own! Honestly - I'll need to give him a couple of tips, and that suggests how bad he is if he needs tips on that type of thing from me!
At one point Emily gave Michael a kiss goodnight, and he got so embarrassed that he hid under the covers and told her to go away. Classic. Emily also wrote a wee note to Michael when she left to thank him for the hospitality. Michael read it to me two or three times.
It was great to have her over for a couple of days.
As you can see from the photos, for Family Home Evening we had a quick game of football outside. Sarah almost got a red card for some of her tackles.
