Today was Great-Granny Adam's 90th Birthday party in Glenrothes at Sarah's Auntie Irene and Uncle Gordon's house. Sarah, Michael and Emma went through, and by all reports had a really great time. They both got home asleep and were pretty much taken straight from the car to the bed.
They had a lot of fun meeting with the family, and were (apparently) very well behaved. Michael was particularly taken by Sarah's cousin Rory's electric drums. Sarah assured me that Michael spent a long time playing them. I think it's fair to say that he's more of the Keith Moon and Meg White maverick thumping school of drumming rather than the grace and precision of Phil Collins or Carl Palmer. The world will always need drummers though.
I'm assured that Emma did smile, although it's not apparent from the photos. In fact we've got 11 photos like the 4 below of Emma not smiling for the photo. As you can tell from the last photo though, Mum, as ever, found a way to make things work. She's a genius!
