Sarah called me through at snacktime (supper before bed) the other night. Emma was feeding herself some yogurt using a spoon. She feeds herself finger food all the time, but this was the first time that she'd managed to use an implement.
On a different note, Michael has had a couple of trips with the Nursery over the last week. He got to go to a woodland park in Alva, which he greatly enjoyed. He got to go to see the Scottish National Symphony Orchestra the other day, which he also liked. He seemed a little dissapointed that there weren't any guitars or drums, but he said he saw trombones, little violins and really big violins (I'm assuming they were cellos or double basses). He really enjoyed the conductor, who showed them all how to wave their fingers like they were conducting. The only pieces of music he's been able to let us know they played were the william tell overture, and something about pulling a turnip. I'm assuming the latter was something they did especially for the kids rather than a previously unknown shostakovich work.
