The Easter Piñata Controversy

We had fun for Easter Monday. We had a Easter Egg hunt in the garden. When I say Easter Egg Hunt, we were actually hunting for little Easter bunny's. Surely that's the wrong way around. The Bunny's supposed to leave the eggs, not get hunted.

Similarly Sarah got an Easter Piñata. Easter is all about resurrection on the christian side, and fertility/springtime on the pagan side. Surely beating up the chick, a sign of the meaning of the time, defeats the purpose. Didn't stop us though. Good fun beating up that Piñata. Michael got a bit carried away, and when the plastic baseball bat wasn't quite doing the job, he got a croquet stick and whacked the thing. Unfortunately after a few hits, he managed to break the croquet stick. He was very sad.

I used some mind trickery on Michael to find my Bunny, which he'd hidden. I've seen enough of derren brown and the mentalist to know what to do. In the end it wasn't too difficult. A couple of mentions of the bunny and he pointed to it with the baseball bat.
