Again, it's been an eventful weekend for Michael. His granma came down from Aberdeen with his Granda and uncle Neil on Saturday. There was a hiccup with tickets to the Scotland Game but thankfully Granda and Neil got there ok and were able to pick up additional tickets for the game. Michael had a great time playing football with his grandma in the back garden and showing her the plums on the tree.

We had to take Michael's bike back to the shop as it was broken, and he was very distressed to see the bike go into the shop and not come back out. Hopefully it will be sorted soon.

Following taking the bike back we did a whistle-stop tour of Kirkcaldy and Glenrothes. We took Michael to see Edenbrook and got a chance to meet bob. Always good to see him. When grandad arrived he quickly took Michael through the back of the factory and initiated him using that most sacred of black-family rituals - sword fights with off-cuts from kitchen worktops. He also gave him a wee shot of the (decommissioned) forklift. Michael seemed to instincively know where the horn was.

Following that we went to visit his great-granny and grandad in glenrothes, who were very happy to see him, and even showed him the potty that his granda used to use. He managed not to break anything, and they gave him a couple of pennies which he was very happy about.

We then popped back to his granny and grandads for our tea. He enjoyed playing tennis and golf with grandad, and running about on the trampoline with isla. Isla and her friends even took michael for a little walk out the back. Grandad had the great idea of giving Michael Isla's scooter (which she'd outgrown somewhat). He seemed to be getting the hang of it quickly and will no doubt be battering about the street here on it just as soon as it stops raining.
