The Great Houdini

Michael demonstrates his ability to climg onto the table (note the chair he pulled out to get there)

Michael thinking about his dad being the first in the bloodline to ever eat Gazpacho (delicious). Michael liked it too

The birthday boy getting the honour of feeding michael

Michael fascinated to see the Girls Aloud Dance moves Stacey and Katrina were showing Deb.

Michael's just worked out how to do something quite scary. I was sitting downstairs, and I could hear michael mumbling upstairs in his cot for a couple of minutes. Then I heard a massive bump, some crying, then footsteps. I ran up the stairs to find him out of his cot and running towards the stairs. For some reason he was holding his pyjama bottoms! Sarah and i are going to have to work out how he did that, and rectify the situation quickly, as we were lucky this time that he didn't do himself any damage.

He had a really good weekend, where Sarah's family all descended on edinburgh and tullibody to celebrate uncle jamie's birthday. He was just falling asleep about 10 on friday night when neil and maggie arrived. He promptly woke up, and with other arrivals and other excitement we didn't get him to bed until nearly midnight. He really enjoyed the gift that Neil and Maggie brought - a bag of plastic balls! He had a lot of fun playing with them, and defending the sofa from all attackers with the balls.

For those still keeping track, Michael did sleep three nights through the night last week. So much was Sarah surprised, that she got me to check in the morning if michael was ok. He's got more teeth coming through though, and those three nights seem to have been related to a growth spurt, and has not continued.

He's started saying things, but hasn't really got the hang of it. He's managed to say "Mamamamamama", which he usually says when he's in distress (hahahahhahahahah). He also apparently has said "Isla". His favourite is still "up", which he says when he wants out of his seat. This seems to have been his first word a few weeks back. He seems to understand a lot of words now too, like "bath". Still not too sure about "bed" through. He's learning a lot more songs and actions for them, and seemed particularly dissapointed in nursery at church a couple of weeks ago when the teacher kept pointing at the ceiling, but wasn't launching into "Wind the Bobbin Up!"
